  1. I think the first recorded ‘proto agriculture’ was found to be used by the natufian culture in what is now Israel. Interestingly, literature suggests these people where strangely sedentary :-P

  2. Former vegetarian here. I’m a week into paleo. I feel AMAZING. I feel much stronger, my mind is MUCH clearer, I am less emotionally unstable, and after only a week I’m seeing definite weight loss (e.g. clothes fit better again). My breakfast is fruit and two cooked eggs, my lunch usually some fish with cucumber or radishes, and dinner usually cabbage or some other lettucy stuff, tomatoes, avocado, and lean beef, horse, lamb or veil. Of course I vary things with other vegetables. It’s GREAT!

  3. Yup, you got it. Fat and meat from bovinae or Ruminantia makes my mouth water. Keep those legumes and grains as far away as possible. Chicken, not so good, but fishes from the sea, that’s for me.

  5. That’s not really the point. Regardless of whether some ancient men & women had eaten grains there is definitely a time “before the dawn of agriculture” when mankind didn’t. Who’s to say exactly when that was? The time period is irrelevant. People didn’t always cultivate wheat, barley, corn, etc.

  6. Paleolithic humans only lived to 25-30 years on average, so they weren’t likely to live long enough to contract the diseases of civilization. To further complicate things, there is strong
    evidence that prior to the Paleo era, humans were predominantly vegetarian and were equally free of the diseases of civilization which tends to defeat the rationale for the Paleo diet altogether.
